The Media Industry Research Foundation is dedicated to advancing the competitiveness of printed, electronic and content-driven digital media, along with the closely related fields that support them. The foundation funds research, development, innovation, education and the growth of media-related expertise, while deepening understanding of the evolving needs of the industry.

For this project, the goal was to refresh the foundation’s brand identity and provide a broader set of visual elements that support clear, consistent and credible communication across its various communication channels.

CHALLENGE

Media-alan tutkimussäätiö sought to refresh its visual identity to better reflect its role as a bold, forward-looking authority in the Finnish media landscape.

APPROACH

The new identity was designed to convey a future-oriented, academic, and open-minded character. A vibrant color palette, modern typography, and custom iconography were combined with clear creative and photography direction to support consistent, professional communication. In addition to updating the visual language, I designed social media and presentation templates, and created an extensive brand guideline to support the in- house team in maintaining coherence across all touchpoints. I also designed the layout for the foundation’s new website front page.

OUTCOME

A distinctive, colorful, and minimal visual identity that supports the Foundation’s mission and helps it stand out in the media sector. The refreshed materials enable consistent, high-quality communication in all channels with media professionals, researchers, and other key stakeholders.
